When rubberbanding is on, you can move any symbol(s) or an area while preserving signal connectivity. Connectivity is retained for orthogonal and diagonal node and bus lines that end on a symbol port or pass through an area marquee, regardless of where the symbol(s) or area is moved.

Rubberbanding does not occur when a selection is flipped or rotated.
